DAVID BOER
Dave is a 1977 graduate of Northview High School and earned a Bachelor Of Arts degree in “Risk & Insurance” from Michigan State University in 1981. Dave has over 35 years of insurance experience and holds the following professional designations:
Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)
Accredited Advisor of Insurance (AAI)
Licensed Insurance Counselor (LIC)
Dave enjoys golf, basketball, tennis, skiing, spending time with family and friends, and helping bring financial security to our clients.
BRIAN BOER
Brian graduated from Forest Hills Northern High School in 2005 and Michigan State University in 2009, where he earned a Bachelors and a Masters in Accounting. After graduation, Brian started his career as a CPA at BDO in Grand Rapids, MI before moving to Toronto and joining Ernst & Young as a Manager.
Brian’s passion for protecting the public and his dedication to client service brought him back to Grand Rapids and to Boer Insurance Group. Brian enjoys traveling with his family, skiing, golf, watersports, and being outdoors. He is also an active member of a Grand Rapids chapter of Business Network International (BNI).

DEREK BOER
Derek graduated from Forest Hills Northern High School in 2005 and Michigan State University in 2009, where he earned a Bachelors and a Masters in Accounting. Derek moved from Michigan to New York City in 2010 where he worked as a CPA at Ernst & Young and Jane Street Capital, an investment firm dedicated to active risk management.
Derek brings to Boer Insurance Group the same passion and commitment expected of him by the global companies he worked for in New York City as well as the friendly, compassionate demeanor he acquired growing up in West Michigan. Derek enjoys spending time with his wife, Paige, and their dog, Ember (who is often found snoring under his desk), golfing, fishing, and watching Michigan State basketball and football games. Derek is also an active mentor in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program for disadvantaged youth in West Michigan.

GRACE McLAUGHLIN
Grace graduated from East Grand Rapids High School in 2014 and went on to study at Michigan State University. In 2018, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors in Sociology and a minor in Economics. She spent the summer of 2017 at an internship in Hawaii studying, absorbing the culture, and taking advantage of the natural beauty. She hopes to return soon. Grace joined the Boer Insurance Group team in November 2019.
Grace brings her attention to detail, client service experience, and knowledge of The Office to Boer Insurance Group. She keeps busy by reading, golfing, and spending time outdoors.
Beth Kessler
Beth graduated from Howell High School in 2016 and went on to study at Central Michigan University. She graduated a semester early in December 2019 with a Bachelors in English and a minor in Broadcasting and Cinematic Arts. She also holds a certificate for Technical Writing. Beth joined the Boer Insurance Group team in April 2021.
Beth enjoys spending her free time reading, writing, and doing various DIY projects to varying levels of success. Otherwise, she can be found relaxing with her cat, Avocado, and bearded dragon, Edgar.

Valina Greer
Valina was born and raised in the South Haven area. Upon graduation from high school, she moved to Grand Rapids and has called it home ever since. Valina brings to Boer Insurance Group nine years of prior insurance experience, primarily as an account manager.
Valina loves to travel, especially if it’s to a Caribbean beach. When not working or traveling, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, which she lovingly refers to as a modern-day Brady Bunch, watching NFL football (even the pre-season!), and binging Netflix documentaries.
Valina’s sincerity, authenticity, and compassion are appreciated by both her colleagues and her clients.

Victor Hernandez
Victor is a seasoned insurance professional with over a decade of insurance experience ranging from adjusting claims to supervising a client service team. His diverse insurance experience brings valuable industry knowledge to the Boer Insurance Group team. He is empathetic and detail-oriented, and is a true client-service professional who loves giving back to our community.
Victor stays busy outside the office by volunteering at church, coaching robotics, and spending time with his wife and three kids.

CHRIS MUTNANSKY
Chris brings many years of insurance experience to the Boer Insurance Group team, including managing a local office for one of the largest insurance agencies in the nation. Chris is familiar with numerous insurance companies and uses his account management experience to help clients navigate insurance decisions that can sometimes feel confusing and overwhelming. Chris thrives on guiding clients toward the right insurance choices. For him, it’s not just about policies; it’s about peace of mind.
Outside of his career, Chris stays busy taking care of his two dogs, refereeing high school football, and traveling with his wife as often as possible (Banff is the preferred destination!).
